2018 PGMF expected to be Exceptionally Epic!!
With less than 48 hours to go before the third annual Pure Grenada Music Festival, and the Front Stage Section for Reggae Night already sold out, the excitement is beginning to build up among the organizing committee as well as patrons.
According to Communications Consultant, Ms. Raelene Lazarus “this year’s show is going to be epic,” and “we are ready!” The 3-night Music Festival has worked its way to becoming one of Grenada’s most celebrated Festival, and Ms. Lazarus and her team are extremely excited, especially since they are continuing to exceed expectations. “We want the Festival to get to a place where people hear about it and they run out to get their tickets.”
Additionally, Ms. Lazarus confirmed that the Front Stage tickets for the Reggae Night are already sold out. In this section, patrons will occupy, what she considers a “premium space,” and be closer the artistes. However, they will still have full access to the rest of the Village.
Currently, there are only 2 sets of tickets being sold for the three nights;- Standard Entry at $70 and Front Stage Entry at $120, each of which will increase slightly 24 hours prior to the Festival. Also, a 3-day pass is available for $330.
“We’re ready! The whole team is just ready, set, go and we can’t wait for Friday,” Ms. Lazarus exclaimed. Reminiscing a bit on the first 2 years, she stated that the first was great, and the second was fantastic, and the third will be “epic.”
She went on, “In our third year, to have a section of one show sold out, it says to us that we’re on the right track and doing the right thing.”
The PGMF commences on Friday 13 April 2018 at the Port Louis Lawn, with a Soul Night, featuring Chrisette Michele, Daley, Sabrina Francis + Johnathan Francis and Zorina.
On Saturday 14 April 2018, the audience will be graced with performances by Morgan Heritage, Protoje, Jah9 + Black Iron, Thamara St Bernard and Lion Paw & D-Unit Band for Reggae Night.
The third and final night is specially dedicated to Caribbean-ness as there will be performances by the Alison Hinds, Luni Spark & Electrify, A#keem, Adrian Stern with Loxton Mitchell, Jasmine, Deva, Nekoyan Bain and Tammy Baldeo + Godson & Zamar.
When probed about other attractions and entertainment patrons can look forward to, Ms. Lazarus commented on the Festival’s “green initiative,” which involves the use of bamboo and recycled tires. “We are very keen about leaving our festival space and Grenada as a whole, clean.”
She also reminded the Media that the vendors at the Festival must use biodegradable cutlery and serving containers, saying, “the green initiative is still going very strong.”
Ms. Lazarus and the entire team are confident that they will continue to exceed expectations as the Festival grows and look forward to the support of the patrons.
