Collectivity for Success says Bain-Horsford
ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, Monday 17th October, 2016 GIS: Agriculture Minister, the Hon. Yolande Bain-Horsford says that the Ministry has the potential to become a tower of economic strength and development in the country.
Three months after taking charge, Minister Bain-Horsford says that she has identified a creative and industrious staff that can make the industry an economic giant. The minister wants workers to collectively unleash their capabilities to create a robust and dynamic sector.
She was speaking recently to close to 300 workers from the various sectors of the ministry, who met with Prime Minister Dr. Keith Mitchell.
Minister Bain Horsford said the Ministry of Agriculture stands tall as one of the pillars of the economy, which has a crucial role to play in national development.
She says collectively, workers must release their strength to drive the Ministry. “I have seen and have listened to staff. We are very talented, we are very skilled; but I believe we ought to rearrange and reorganize things, get people to understand their roles more seriously to move this ministry to a different level.”
The minister is calling for a greater effort from all to forge ahead. She is confident that success can be achieved with all hands on deck.
“We have become too complacent. Some of us have been relaxed not doing too much roles, some do not understand their roles.”
