CALL FOR INTEREST – PRAEDIAL LARCENY COORDINATOR
ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA – The Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, Fisheries, and Cooperatives is inviting suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Praedial Larceny Coordinator.
The Praedial Larceny Amendment Act #6 of 2020, provides for the establishment of a Praedial Larceny Unit in the Ministry of Agriculture to be headed by a Coordinator. The Praedial Larceny Unit will be responsible for developing guidelines for policy implementation, collecting and managing data, making recommendations for amending, reviewing and implementing the provisions of the Praedial Larceny Act, developing praedial larceny programmes geared towards public awareness and education, and providing secretarial support to the Praedial Larceny Management Committee.
The Praedial Larceny Coordinator will therefore be responsible for:
- Reviewing and implementing the Praedial Larceny Act.
- Establishing and managing the Praedial Larceny Unit.
- Developing and executing effective prevention programmes.
- Overseeing equipment and vehicle operations.
- Conducting staff performance appraisals.
- Collaborating on public awareness campaigns.
- Facilitating stakeholder consultations.
- Managing data collection and reporting.
- Recommending legislative improvements.
- Recommendations for legislative enhancements.
- Stakeholder consultation reports.
Interested applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Criminology, Management Studies, or related field. Two years of supervisory experience in policing or security will be an asset.
