Closure of Schools on Election Day, June 23
ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, JUNE 2, 2022 – The Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development, Religious Affairs and Information informs the public that there will be no school on Election Day, June 23, 2022.
It should be noted however, that schools that are examination centers will be opened for the administration of CXC Examinations, which are scheduled for that day.
Additionally, due to electoral requirements, it will not be possible for some schools to function as examination centers on election day. In light of this, CXC candidates at those schools will be accommodated at alternative venues, as detailed in the table hereunder:
School | Venue |
Anglican High | Grenada Boys’ Secondary |
Boca Secondary | Wesley College |
Grenville Secondary | St. Joseph’s Convent, St. Andrew |
St. Mark’s Secondary | St. Rose Modern Secondary |
Westerhall Secondary | St. David’s Catholic Secondary |
Principals of the named schools have been asked to ensure that all candidates to whom this change applies, are duly informed. It must be emphasized that this will be a temporary arrangement for Election Day ONLY.
