KINGSTON, JAMAICA, May 8, 2019 – The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Digicel today announced that the Digicel NBA Jumpstart Basketball Camps will return to the Caribbean for the fifth consecutive year, starting May 18 in Trinidad and Tobago.  The NBA Digicel Jumpstart Basketball Camps will also feature stops in Jamaica and Barbados.

The three camps will be divided into boys and girls divisions, each comprised of two age groups, 12-14 and 15-16 years of age. Assistant coaches and international basketball operations staff from the NBA as well as top Caribbean coaches will lead campers through a variety of activities, including individual player development, 5-on-5 games, life skills education, and coaching clinics for local youth basketball coaches.

The top ten players from each country in the 15-16 year old, boys & girls category will be selected to attend the Digicel NBA Jumpstart Elite Camp in Trinidad this summer.  From the Elite Camp, NBA operations staff and local coaches will select the top fourteen players who will be invited to participate in an authentic NBA experience later this year.
