Digicel Ready for Exciting CPL Finals
Machel Montano to perform at CPL Semi-Final Match and three lucky Digicel customers win a trip to the Final Match
Kingston, Jamaica – Wednesday, September 5, 2018: The biggest party in sport has just eight more matches to go before we know who will be this year’s champion of the HERO Caribbean Premier League (CPL), and Digicel is ramping up the excitement for the upcoming semi-final and final game.
CPL is not called “the biggest party in sport” for nothing and for the semi-final match on Friday, September 14th, 2018, the King of Soca and Digicel Ambassador, Machel Montano, will grace the stage and have fans pumping to hits like “Soca Kingdom”, “Fast Wine” and “Like Ah Boss” in the Brian Lara Stadium. In St. Lucia, Digicel had local artistes like Gwan Movman, Ezra D Fun Machine and Lapo Kabwit among others performing, while Barbados brought to the stage a number of artistes including Jus D, Joaquim and Digicel ambassador Mickey.
Every year, Digicel and CPL goes for bigger and better. “Hero CPL is the biggest party in sport, and no one knows how to bring the party to life like Machel Montano. His performance at last year’s final was one of the highlights of the tournament and we are delighted to have him back at the Brian Lara Stadium to bring the semi-final match alive on 14th September”, saidDamien O’Donohoe, CEO, Hero CPL.
This year, as the season winds up to the playoffs, semi-final and final matches in Providence Stadium in Guyana and the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad and Tobago, fans are crowding the stands and tuning in live on PlayGo to catch all the excitement.
Three lucky PlayGo viewers, Travese Gardiner from Antigua and Barbuda, Kevon Small from Montserrat and Inshan Ali from Trinidad and Tobago, won a trip to watch the final on Sunday, September 16th, 2018 in Trinidad and Tobago.
