Island Water World Grenada Sailing Week is now running into its sixth successful year, with exciting news for our bright future. Firstly we would like to warmly welcome two new board members to the team: Brian Sylvester of Brydens representing Mount Gay Rum, with his long history of international racing combined with supporting and promoting both local and regional sailing regattas and events; and Louis Cuenard from Turbulence at Grenada Marine, also with international racing experience and years of working in the Caribbean marine industry. They will both greatly add to the smooth running of the regatta.

The GSW Board would like to thank former Chairman Marc DeCaul, for his co-ordination and promotion of the event, which added tremendously to its growing success since its new format in 2013.  Also former board member, Caribbean sailor and racer, Shawn Jardine, and his wife Debbie, whose volunteer input and energy were invaluable.

We are very pleased to announce our two host venues: Secret Harbour Marina in Mount Hartman Bay on Grenada’s south coast and Camper Nicholson’s Port Louis Marina in St Georges on the west coast.

The scenic Secret Harbour Marina will open the event with registration and skippers briefing, followed by two days of exciting coastal racing and a lay day. The calm protected harbour at Secret Harbour has long been a favourite amongst sailors. It boasts a newly renovated bar and restaurant ‘Sel & Poivre’, docking, accommodation, fuel, water and laundry services as well as a pool, tennis and volley ball courts.

The regatta will then move around to the prestigious Camper & Nicholson’s Port Louis Marina at the entrance to St George’s Harbour for more racing in the calmer waters off Grand Anse Beach, parties, the grand finale and prize giving. Camper Nicholson’s Port Louis Marina is a state of the art marina village offering many onsite facilities including The Victory Bar & Restaurant, Yolo Sushi Bar, a pool, and a variety of technical yacht services, including provisioning and guardianage.

Island Water World continues to be Title Sponsor supporting the event for the fourth consecutive year and race day sponsors Mount Gay, Sea Hawk, Secret Harbour and Pure Grenada also continue with their loyal support of the event.
