Live Ammunition; Wanted Man – Shakim Thomas; Woman Charged for Causing Death by Dangerous Driving
LIVE AMMUNITION TRAINING
The Royal Grenada Police Force hereby notifies the general public that there will be live ammunition training at the Eastern/Lower End of Pearls Airstrip, St. Andrew on Sunday 7th May 2023, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 pm.
The public, in particular residents of Pearls, St. Andrew and surrounding areas, inclusive of animal owners, small craft and boat operators, are strongly advised to refrain from using this area during the time of the training.
Wanted Man – Shakim Akin Thomas
Police are seeking assistance of the general public in locating Shakim Akin Thomas alias, “Shark”, 27 years old of Upper Capital, St. Andrew. He is six feet nine inches in height, medium built, dark brown in complexion, with brown eyes and black hair.
Mr. Thomas is wanted by police for questioning in connection with the offence of Dangerous Harm.
Anyone seeing Shakim Thomas or has any information about his whereabouts is kindly asked to contact Grenville Police Station 442 7224, CID St. George’s 440 3921, Emergency 911, Police Hotline 444 1958 or the nearest police station.
NB: This suspect may be armed and dangerous and should be approached with caution.
Woman Charged for Causing Death by Dangerous Driving
Lucy King, 68 years old of Crochu, St. Andrew, was arrested and charged for the offence of Causing Death by Dangerous Driving following investigations into a vehicular accident which occurred along the Springs Public Road, St. George, on April 24th, 2022, resulting in the death of Roger Mahon of Morne Longue, St. Andrew.
Ms King was granted bail in the sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) with one (1) surety with the following bail conditions:
- Surrender all travel documents,
- Not permitted to leave the state of Grenada without permission of the Court.
She is to appear at St. Georges Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 9th May, 2023 at 9:00 a.m.
