Men Plead Guilty
Two St George residence jointly charged for the offense of Money Laundering pleaded guilty on Tuesday 21st July 2020, at the Carriacou Magistrate’s Court.
Erskin Heuton, 29 years, Fisherman, of Beaulieu and Victor Vesprey, 40 years, Fisherman of Belle Vue (St. George) were apprehended after the Coast Guard intercepted a fishing vessel outside Mt. Pleasant Carriacou on July 19th 2020.
A search of the men and the fishing vessel turned up just over 71-thousand dollars in cash (XCD).
Hueton was fined 20-thousand dollars to be paid in 8 months, in default, two years at Her Majesty’s Prison while Vesprey was fined 30-thousand dollars to be paid in 3 months, in default, 1 year at Her Majesty’s Prison.
The money has been forfeited to the State.
Meanwhile, the Royal Grenada Police Force is seeking the assistance of the general public in locating Daniel Don Williams, a 20 year-old, Labourer of Mt. Horne, St. Andrew.
Williams is wanted by the Criminal Investigations Department Grenville in relation to the offences of Burglary, Attempted Robbery and Causing Harm. He is five feet six inches in height, slim built, dark in complexion with dark brown eyes.
