Permanent Secretaries Appointed
The recently elected Government is putting measures in place to ensure the efficiency of the ministries. Part of this venture involves the appointment and re-appointments of Permanent Secretaries, who play a vital role to the specific ministers and ministries.
Hon Gregory Bowen, Acting Prime Minister made the announcements during the first Post Cabinet Briefing, which was held on Tuesday 17 April 2018.
Ministry of National Security, Public Administration, Home Affairs and Information Communications Technology
· Ms. Ann Brizan – Permanent Secretary with responsibility for National Security and Public Administration
· Mrs. Sally-ann Bagwhan-Logie – Permanent Secretary with responsibility for Home Affairs and Information Communications Technology
Ministry of Infrastructure Development, Public Utilities, Energy, Transport and Implementation
· Ms. Kim Frederick – Permanent Secretary with responsibility for Infrastructure Development and Implementation
· Ms. Patricia Clarke – Permanent Secretary with responsibility for Public Utilities and Energy
Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development and Religious Affairs
· Mr. Findley Jeffrey – Permanent Secretary with responsibility for Education (Acting)
· Ms. Jacinta Joseph – Permanent Secretary with responsibility for Human Resource Development and Religious Affairs
Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation
· Mrs. Arlene Buckmire-Outram – Permanent Secretary
Ministry of Youth Development, Sports, Culture and the Arts

As noted, some ministries and divisions have not yet received appointments of Permanent Secretaries. However, Minister Bowen revealed that this would be done soon. Some will either take on added responsibilities or new persons will be appointed.
The aforementioned persons were expected to have taken office on Tuesday 18 April 2018.
