Police Confirms Hanging at True Blue, St. George
On Wednesday 12th July, 2023, following reports, officers proceeded on enquiries at True Blue, St. George where they observed the motionless body of a female hanging inside of a bedroom.
The body was identified as Khania Roberts, 21 years old, Unemployed of True Blue, St. George. She was subsequently pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
A postmortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Police investigation continues into the matter.
RGPF Refutes Claim of Having Questioned Businessman and Pastor for Murder
The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) has become aware of information currently in circulation on social media stating that police have picked up a prominent businessperson and a pastor, for questioning in relation to the murder of the late, Jonty Robinson. The RGPF categorically refutes this information.
We are vigorously pursuing every lead in this matter. However, we have had no interest in either of the two individuals in this regard.
The public is hereby advised that you should only accept such information from credible/official sources.
St. David Resident Found Dead on Farm
On Tuesday 11th July, 2023, following reports, officers proceeded on enquiries at La Tante, St. David where they observed the motionless body of a male lying on the ground at a farm.
The body was identified as Thomas Mitchell, 51 years old, Labourer of La Tante, St. David. He was subsequently pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
A postmortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Police investigation continues into the matter.
Boat Found Abandoned at Sea
On Thursday 6th July 2023, Fishermen discovered a wooden open boat about 20 feet in length, at sea, over a mile off the coast of River Antoine, St. Patrick.
The boat which contained a number of personal effects such as shoes, clothing and passports, had no occupant aboard.
A police investigation into the matter has been launched.
