Prime Minister to Participate in Caricom Heads of Government Meeting on Thursday
Prime Minister, Dr. the Right Honourable Keith Mitchell, will join fellow regional heads for the Forty-first Regular Meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government on today.
The impact of COVID-19 pandemic, including its health and economic implications for countries, will be one of the critical agenda items to be discussed by the regional leaders at the virtual meeting.
Other major agenda items include blacklisting, a joint tourism policy for CARICOM and security matters.
At the meeting, Dr. Mitchell and his colleagues will also hold discussions with United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. Antonio Guterres. Grenada’s delegation for the meeting will also include Minister for Foreign Affairs, International Business and CARICOM Affairs, Hon. Oliver Joseph and Grenada’s Ambassador to CARICOM, Arley Gill.
