Reconsultations to be Held for National Policy on Sports and Physical Activity
St. George: October 5, 2022: The Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture will conduct a series of re-consultations in various parishes, and with major stakeholders for the implementation of the National Policy on Sports and Physical Activity.
The meetings have been planned to reconnect with the public on the objectives and purpose of the Policy which aims to improve and develop Sports and Physical Activity in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
The present layout of the policy went through extensive consultations in 2010 but its implementation was not followed through over the years.
The meetings will give the public the opportunity to offer recommendations that allow for a more comprehensive outlook on Sports, taking into consideration international practice and the use of technology that would put Grenada on par with other nations, with respect to the development of Sports and Physical Activity.
Discussions will also place emphasis on the development of Sports at the grassroot level in communities.
