The parish of St. George, is seeing more and more instances of congestion on its road and one of the main contributing factors to this is the instance of vehicular accidents, resulting in traffic backups, inconvenience, and frustration for all.
This has become a matter of obvious concern for the RGPF, as well as the ever-increasing driving population. Based upon this, a proactive approach from Hubbard’s in donating a motor scooter to the traffic department was very timely and much appreciated.

On receiving the scooter, Inspector Randel Baptiste, in charge of administration and operations at Traffic Dept confided; “the Department has no operational scooters at the moment. So, this donation could not be more timely. We have become increasingly concerned about our ability to reach the scene of a vehicular accident, as quickly as possible, which in most circumstances will impact the flow of traffic. Our relationship with Hubbard’s has always been mutually supportive and co-operative and the fact that they have approached us proactively with this donation speaks volumes,” he concluded.
The 125cc Hussar motor scooter will be used predominantly in the parish of St. George, as an addition to the RGPF motorcycle fleet, allowing for quick and easy access through traffic, as well as providing a very economical means of transportation. Mrs. Allison Knight, supervisor at Hubbard’s Motor Dept. commented; “As a major authorized vehicle dealer we are keenly interested in the well-being of motorist and general public. Our excellent relationship with the RGPF speaks to our mandate of giving to the community. This is a very practical way to assist the community by supporting our country’s police force. We are very pleased to be able to do so.”
