Rudy Grant Concludes his Tenure as CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority
(St. George’s, Grenada) 15th November, 2016 – On Monday afternoon, the Chairman of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) Mr. Rodney George informed managers and staff that Mr. Rudy Grant would be concluding his tenure as chief executive officer effective 2nd December, 2016. In his remarks the chairman thanked Mr. Grant for his professionalism and commitment to the development of the tourism industry.
“In observing your function in the capacity as CEO, your passion and dedication was exemplified through hard work that greatly assisted in the advancement of Grenada’s tourism industry. Thank you for your service to the GTA and we wish you all the best in your future endeavours,” said Mr. George.
The GTA saw a number of major accomplishments during Mr. Grant’s tenure as CEO. These included the appointment of directors of sales in the USA, Canada, and Germany along with new nonstop flight services by Delta Airlines from Atlanta and JetBlue Airways from New York. Grenada has also seen increases in overall visitor arrivals for 2015 and to the end of September 2016.
“Thank you to the chairman and former chairman, directors and officers, both past and present of the GTA for the tremendous support you have given to me as CEO. I consider myself to be part of the GTA family and I am happy to refer to Grenada as my second home,” commented Mr. Grant as he addressed his team on Monday. He further stated that he thoroughly enjoyed his assignment and would continue to hold Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique close in his heart.
Mr. Grant is the first CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority, serving in that capacity for almost three (3) years.
The Grenada Tourism Authority is a statutory agency of the Government of Grenada responsible for destination marketing and destination management.
