Sandals Grenada to be be Part of Pree Day 2018
For the first time Sandals Grenada will be a part of one of Grenada’s major Spicemas events- the 6th annual Pree Day event.
Speaking to the Barnacle News Team during Tallpree’s official launch of Pree Day and Uncle Tallpree’s Kids Fest, was Sandals’ Public Relations Manager- Deleon Forrester. According to her, Sandals has been looking to get into local events and this was the perfect opportunity to do so. “This year for the first time we will be a part of the premiere events for Carnival.” They are looking at a specific niche hence they will be responsible for providing the top-notch experience that they give at the Resort. “We are very happy that we are able to be a part of the entire planning of the VIP experience.”
The man of the hour, and Grenada’s Cultural Ambassador, Mr Wilt ‘Tallpree’ Cambridge spoke to the Barnacle News Team. When asked about the initial reason behind the event, Cambridge said it came about as a means of him giving back to after many years of performing and representing Grenada. He thought it fitting to put together a show for the people that they would enjoy. It’s also an opportunity for some of his artiste friends to perform with him. “Tallpree in concert with some of my friends.”
For Pree Day 2018, which will be held on Wednesday 8 August at the National Stadium, Tallpree stated that it’s all about the ladies. Hence the theme “Ladies First”. He stressed on the ladies being treated with special prizes and giveaways.
The event will see 8 local artistes and 8 regional artistes including Jamaica’s young female sensation Shenseea, performing for Pree Day 2018.
Prior to Pree Day, Tallpree will be hosting his 3 annual Kids Fest on Saturday 28 July 2018, where the nations’ children would get to experience local artistes performing live, among other fascinating things.
Tallpree expressed sincere appreciation to the sponsors who, without them the event would not have been where it is now.
