On July 14^th, 2023, during an operation at Brizan, St. George officers discovered a quantity of Cannabis weighing two hundred pounds (200 lbs.).

As a result, Richard Steel, 57 years, Steel Bender of Mt. Parnassus, St. George, was arrested and charged by officers attached to Drug Squad on Monday 13^th November 2023, with Trafficking in a Controlled Drug.

Mr. Steel appeared before the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court today, (Tuesday 14^th November 2023) and was granted bail in the sum of fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00) with two (2) sureties.  As part of his bail conditions, he must surrender all travel documents, must seek permission from the court to leave the state of Grenada, and report to the Central Police Station every Monday between the hours of 6: 00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
