March 27, 2023 – The Government of Grenada in collaboration with Housing Authority of Grenada is partnering to implement a New Waste Water Collection, Treatment and Management System at the La Calome Housing Scheme, St. David.

At present the current waste water system is clogged and needs urgent revamping. The implementation of the new waste water collection, treatment and management system will ensure a safe and healthy physical environment and also prevent environmental and public health hazards, for the residents of La Calome and surrounding areas.

During the week of the 27th March, 2023, within the hours of 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday and 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on weekends, the residents of La Calome and surrounding areas will experience some disturbances as follows:

• Delayed traffic
• Noise
• Vibration
• Dust
• Fumes

The project is expected to last approximately twelve (12) weeks. We are also asking the residents to be mindful of water usage during this period, e.g. flushing of toilets, laundry etc.
