Ricardo Nicholas, Vice Principal, St. Patrick’s Anglican School expressed, ‘Our team at the St. Patrick’s Anglican School would like to express sincere thanks to you and your organization for your benevolence this Christmas. Our children are still joyful and jubilant for the treats, toys and entertainment which they received from your team, today. We appreciate the kind gesture of giving back to our children; the best avenue for reinvestment. I know their Christmas will be bright.’
Gifts and treats were also given to children of mothers in the Programme for Adolescent Mothers (P.A.M); the Blue Stars Sports Club in St. John and The Limes Development Committee.
Executive Director of the Sandals Foundation, Heidi Clarke, said the Foundation and volunteers look forward to this annual event; ‘Throughout 2018, we have been able to accomplish so many things across the region, impacting thousands of lives through education, community and environment initiatives. The Christmas treat is our way of bringing smiles and joy to families one more time as we close out the year.’ She added, ‘Delivering on average 10,000 toys each year is no small feat and for that, we must thank Hasbro for partnering with us to deliver on our promise to the Caribbean community. Our team members also play a vital role in this annual activity, never shying away from donning their Santa Claus and Elf costumes and bringing such joy to the children. Having the support of people who are always ready to volunteer is one of our greatest assets as a Foundation.’
This Christmas season, the Foundation will be hosting over 70 treats and will give a total of 9926 toys in Grenada, Antigua, St. Lucia, Barbados, Jamaica, Turks and Caicos and the Bahamas.
