U. S. Embassy Grenada Hosts Welcome Reception for New Principal Officer
The U.S. Embassy Grenada hosted a welcome reception for Principal Officer Frances Herrera and her husband, Jon Herrera on Wednesday September 28 at the Aquarium Restaurant. During the event Chargé d’affaires to Barbados, The Eastern Caribbean, and the OECS, David Schnier commented on the wealth of knowledge and experience that Mrs. Herrera brings to the Embassy in Grenada, and assured the audience that, “Together, the embassies in Barbados and Grenada will work with you and our Caribbean partners on key areas such as sustainable development, economic growth, security, climate resilience, and human resource development.”
During her remarks Principal Officer Herrera said, “I am eager to get to know every corner of this country while carrying out my duties as the New Principal Officer. I also see many avenues for the United States and Grenada to strengthen our bilateral relations and continue to foster the growth of both countries.” Principal Officer Herrera was officially welcomed by Governor General of Grenada Dame Cecile La Grenade, along with members of the Government of Grenada, and members of civil society who attended the event.
