Virgin Holidays 3-Day Grenada Guest Care & Tolerance Training Sells Out!
Virgin Holidays are delighted to offer Grenada’s hospitality businesses a dynamic development day, ‘Heartfelt Guest Care to Welcome the World’, that will deliver guest care and diversity training to hospitality team members so they can better understand and meet the needs of the rapidly changing demographics of modern customers.
Joe Thompson, Managing Director of Virgin Holidays, commented: “At Virgin Holidays, we’re passionate about making a positive difference to people’s lives in a region we love. We are pleased to partner with the Grenada Hotel & Tourism Association, and the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association Education Foundation. Together we offer the Virgin Holidays innovative, highly successful Development Day to our partners in Grenada. The day will give hospitality team members, supervisors, managers and owners a fresh and tolerant approach to a new generation of customers, who crave enriching, affirming experiences that go beyond ordinary, that we know Caribbean tourism professionals can provide”
President of the Grenada Hotel and Tourism Association (GHTA) Jerry Rappaport is delighted that Virgin Holidays has chosen to partner with GHTA and offer their successful HEARTFELT GUEST CARE TO WELCOME THE WORLD! training programme in October. Rappaport commented “We are very happy that the 3-days sold out so quickly! Our members clearly see this as an opportunity for their teams to access a modern guest-focused training day that will serve as a booster as we all prepare for next season. The Association is grateful to True Blue Bay Boutique Resort for generously providing training space for this initiative”.
“The CHTA Education Foundation is pleased to support Virgin Holidays and the GHTA with their October training initiative for 78 Grenadian hospitality professionals,” remarked Karolin Troubetzkoy, Chairman of the CHTA Education Foundation. She reported a key focus for her was delivering on the National Hotel & Tourism Associations’ requested ‘on-the-ground’ training of active team members: “Happily, through the sponsorship of Virgin Holidays, since October 2018, we have reached 288 team members in Barbados and are currently training 180 people in St. Lucia and in October will train 60 participants in Tobago. I wish every participant in Grenada an energetic and productive training day”.
Training will happen October 11 through 14 at True Blue Bay Boutique Resort, Grenada, and delves into understanding all guests and how to deliver care and warmth equally to each of them; handling tricky situations with positivity and using guest feedback to shine! Talkabout-EarthSolutions trainers, Louise John & Suzanne Shillingford-Brooks, are looking forward to returning to Grenada and will certainly encourage every participant to offer Pure Excellence in the coming season.
Virgin Holidays is committed to being one of the most tolerant and welcoming brands in travel with a three-tiered programme of work aimed at delivering staff engagement, improving customer knowledge and understanding and influencing partners. After 13 successful years supporting academic scholars through the CHTA Education Foundation, the time is ripe for a new direction that aligns with Virgin Holidays vision for its customers, partner hotels and the vibrant Caribbean people who interact with tourists year-round. The association between Virgin Holidays and the Caribbean transcends the promotion of hotels and beaches – with three decades of initiatives such as sponsoring youth sports teams, offering university and training scholarships, and the establishment of the Branson Centre for Entrepreneurship in Jamaica.
